The ASEAN Leaders and Partners Forum is a significant annual strategic event organized by KSI in collaboration with regional organizations and business communities. The forum brings together representatives from ASEAN countries, international organizations, renowned experts, and leading businesses to discuss global challenges and promote cooperation for a resilient and sustainably developing ASEAN.

Speaking at the forum, international delegates highly appreciated Vietnam’s rapid emergence as one of the fastest-growing economies in the region. KSI Chairman Michael Yeoh commended Vietnam as a “shining star” in the ASEAN economic network and a strategic investment destination due to its stability, dynamism, and extensive supply chain connectivity.

Addressing the regional leaders and businesses, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the central role of cooperation and solidarity amid a rapidly changing, complex, and unpredictable world. He asserted that no country could tackle global issues alone, hence the need for closer collaboration among ASEAN nations and businesses to overcome challenges and build a shared, sustainable future where no one is left behind.

The Prime Minister particularly highlighted the pioneering role of the business community in fostering ASEAN resilience. He encouraged businesses to enhance their connectivity with each other and with global markets, promote institutional harmony, address supply chain disruptions, expand public-private partnerships, and advance green, clean, and digital agriculture—a vital pillar for economic development.

From a policy perspective, the Prime Minister affirmed the state’s role in ensuring political stability, a favorable investment environment, and the necessary conditions for the growth of the digital and green economies, innovation, and extensive international integration. He also emphasized the importance of proactivity, flexibility, and avoiding perfectionism or haste in addressing challenges, turning them into opportunities to restructure the economy and enhance the region’s competitiveness.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh shared Vietnam’s remarkable achievements over nearly four decades of renewal and its strategic orientations for the future. Vietnam aims for an 8% GDP growth rate in 2025, striving for double-digit figures in subsequent years. To materialize this vision, Vietnam is implementing three strategic breakthroughs in institutions, infrastructure, and human resources, alongside promoting science and technology, innovation, administrative reform, and a transparent and conducive business environment.

With the principle of “saying and doing,” the Prime Minister committed to protecting property rights, freedom of business, and the legitimate interests of investors; refraining from criminalizing economic and civil relations; and prioritizing economic solutions in dispute resolution. He advocated for the spirit of “three togetherness”: listening and understanding each other between the state, businesses, and people; sharing a common vision and taking joint action; and enjoying the fruits of development and the pride of the ASEAN community together.

The recognition of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh as the Outstanding ASEAN Leader of 2025 is a testament not only to his personal achievements but also to Vietnam’s steady progress in regional integration. In his acceptance speech, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude and dedicated the award to the people and country of Vietnam, whom he proudly represents.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Leadership of the Vietnamese Party and State, the Prime Minister extended his sincere appreciation to the ASEAN countries, their leaders, and the regional business community for their companionship, support, and close cooperation with Vietnam over the years.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need for businesses to enhance their connectivity, thereby linking ASEAN economies and connecting ASEAN with the world.
