A private motorcycle importer has recently announced that their latest shipment of Honda scooters is almost sold out.
Specifically, a distributor in central and southern Vietnam revealed that they only have a few units left of the 2025 Honda PCX. Notably, this update comes just a week after their initial announcement of the new stock arrival.

The 2025 Honda PCX is a premium scooter developed and sold by Honda in various markets worldwide. While Honda Vietnam previously distributed this model, it was abruptly discontinued in the country from 2021 onwards.
There are several reasons for withdrawing the product from the market. Firstly, the PCX is positioned as a high-end offering with a price tag of over 60 million VND, significantly higher than the average scooter.

Another factor often mentioned is its unique design, inspired by the Maxi Scooter style, which has earned it the nickname “Phi Thuyen” (Spaceship) among enthusiasts.
This design encourages an upright riding posture, providing a comfortable riding experience, especially for long-distance journeys. Additionally, the PCX features a separate footrest area, further enhancing rider comfort.

The latest iteration of the Honda PCX boasts modern and practical features, including a 5-inch TFT display that integrates with the Honda RoadSync software. This allows riders to connect their smartphones and access various functions and vehicle information.
Additionally, the left handlebar now incorporates a control cluster for easy access to the display’s functions.
Another notable upgrade is the Smartkey system, which enables keyless ignition, locking, and unlocking, adding convenience and security.

The Honda PCX offers a choice of 125cc or 160cc engines, with the 160cc variant being the only option available in Vietnam. The 160cc engine delivers a maximum power output of 15.82 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and a torque of 14.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm. According to Honda, this engine has an average fuel consumption of 2.198 liters per 100 kilometers.
Comparatively, the PCX 160’s power output surpasses that of the Honda Air Blade 160i but falls short of the Honda SH 160i in terms of horsepower. However, the PCX 160 excels in storage capacity, offering a spacious 30-liter under-seat compartment, larger than both the Air Blade (23.2 liters) and the SH (28 liters).

In terms of safety, the Honda PCX 160 is equipped with an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) technology, similar to the Honda SH 160i sold in Vietnam. These features prevent wheel lock-up during sudden braking and reduce the risk of losing control, respectively, making them invaluable on slippery roads.

Design-wise, the 2025 Honda PCX features revised headlights and taillights. The headlights now sport a sleeker, V-shaped design, while the taillights have been completely redesigned for a more modern appearance.
Another significant change from the previous model is the addition of a covered handlebar, enhancing the scooter’s overall modern aesthetic.
It’s important to note that the 2025 Honda PCX is not yet available through official channels. Privately imported units can cost upwards of 90 million VND, excluding registration fees.
