This long-term order will facilitate Vietjet‘s ongoing international expansion, enabling the airline to increase flights on high-demand routes across the Asia-Pacific region and debut new long-haul routes to Europe in the future.
“We are committed to long-term investment in modern aircraft, contributing to the economic and technological advancement between our nations,” said Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao.
Wouter van Wersch, Chairman of Airbus International, expressed his honor in continuing to accompany Vietjet in its subsequent expansion phase.
Powered by the latest-generation Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, the A330-900 aircraft can fly continuously for up to 13,300 km. As of April 2025, the A330 family has garnered over 1,800 confirmed orders from more than 130 global customers.
Like all aircraft in production, the A330neo can operate on a blend of up to 50% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) with the target of reaching 100% SAF by 2030.
