On May 27th, the Drug Administration Department (Ministry of Health) decided to suspend and recall the G-Thera Amino Anti-Wrinkle Mask nationwide, with 5 pieces/box 25g, lot number CL06C7, expiry date 18/12/2025.

The product with the registration number 196219/23/CBMP-QLD is distributed by VB Group JSC and manufactured by C&Tech Corporation, South Korea.

VB Group is the entity behind the Hanayuki cosmetic brand, and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu, husband of singer Doan Di Bang, is the general director and legal representative of the company.

According to the Drug Administration Department, the recall is due to the original label of the product missing three ingredients, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, and Ethylhexylglycerin, compared to the declared dossier.

The Department requested the Departments of Health to notify business and usage establishments to immediately stop distributing the product and to recall, destroy, and monitor the implementation.

VB Group must notify the recall to the entire distribution system, receive returned products, and store and manage them until the authorities provide destruction instructions.

The company is also requested to inspect all imported batches of the same type of product. If similar errors are found, they must proactively recall and report to the Department. The authorities warn that if the company reports untruthfully, it will take full legal responsibility.

In this decision, the Department also requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to supervise the recall and handle VB Group’s violations and clarify two other products with signs of misleading as drugs: Hanayuki Shampoo, 300g, registration number 780/24/CBMP-DN, and VB Soft & Silk, 150g, registration number 792/24/CBMP-DN.

Both products were recorded in the inspection minutes on May 22 and are being considered for transfer to the police for investigation due to signs of criminal violations.

Previously, three batches of products distributed by Doan Di Bang’s husband’s company, including shampoo, conditioner, and sunscreen, were also recalled and destroyed.
