The company operated in a 300-square-meter space, a modest single-story house divided into multiple small areas with winding paths, serving as the production, packaging, and finishing site for various products, mainly socks.
The production facility, owned by Mr. N.P.S. (born in 1976), was established in 2012 and registered for dozens of different business lines, ranging from manufacturing knitted garments and ready-made clothing to producing fibers, wholesale of machinery and equipment, to rice trading, among others.
At the time of the inspection, the facility’s production activities were ongoing, with 32 industrial knitting machines operating at full capacity.

The inspection team examines goods with signs of violation
Several local workers were arranging products according to different brands, ready for packaging.
However, through their professional expertise, the inspection team discovered hidden areas within the workshop storing products bearing well-known brands such as UNIQLO and Slazenger, indicating potential counterfeiting and origin fraud.
Given the signs of counterfeit production, the Market Management Division invited the Police Department for Corruption, Economic, and Smuggling Investigation (PC03) of Hanoi Police and Team 24 of Hanoi Market Management to coordinate the inspection.
Notably, by examining the data in the active production machines, the team found stored samples featuring various brands previously produced by the facility.
A large number of labels and tags indicating origin fraud from South Korea, Japan, and other countries were also found on-site.
Upon verifying the invoices provided by the facility, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development temporarily seized a large quantity of raw materials, labels, tags, and nearly 10,000 pairs of socks suspected of origin and trademark infringement. They also sealed off all machinery suspected of producing counterfeit goods for further investigation. If any criminal signs are detected, the case will be transferred to the police for further handling in accordance with legal regulations.
