For the fifth consecutive year, AIG participated in Thaifex, Asia’s leading food and beverage exhibition, aiming to elevate Vietnamese agricultural products through an ecosystem of high-tech agricultural material solutions, unique to Vietnam.

Asserting the Capability of Vietnamese Ingredients on the International Stage

Thaifex Anuga Asia 2025, held from May 27 to 31, 2025, at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok, Thailand, gathered over 3,100 businesses from more than 50 countries and territories, along with over 2,000 strategic buyers and 90,000 trade visitors from 130 countries. Among the participants were companies from emerging markets such as Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and Africa.

This year’s event particularly focused on plant-based, sustainable products, and circular economics. Embodying the message, “Ingredients for Better Life,” AIG presented at Thaifex 2025 a diverse ecosystem of ingredients, including coconut water, coconut cream, coconut milk cream, canned fruit juices, dried coconut, cassava starch, and non-dairy creamers.

These products meet international standards and are sought-after by global food and beverage manufacturers. At Thaifex Anuga Asia 2025, AIG attracted the interest of numerous consumers and strategic partners, including distributors, supermarket chains, and prominent consumer brands from the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Northeast Asia…

With its consistent participation in Thaifex over the years, AIG has increasingly asserted its role as an “ambassador for Vietnamese raw materials.” The company has successfully introduced products made from sustainable Vietnamese agricultural materials that meet international standards and are socially and environmentally responsible, further integrating them into the global supply chain.

Sustainable Raw Material Development: AIG’s Core Strategy

The food and beverage industry is undergoing a profound transformation. Consumers are increasingly concerned about health, sustainability, and transparency in the supply chain. According to Future Market Insights, the global plant-based ingredients market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.6% during 2024-2034.

With its native resource advantages and internationally-compliant processing capabilities, Vietnam is well-positioned to become a key player in the global green supply chain. Notably, Vietnam’s coconut and cassava-based products are among the top exporters in the world and are considered the “green gold” of agriculture.

As of 2024, Vietnam ranked among the top five countries in the world in terms of coconut export value, with exports of fresh coconuts and coconut products reaching approximately $1.1 billion. Cassava product exports maintained stability at over $1 billion annually. These two agricultural commodities exemplify the potential for developing high-value agriculture, contributing to green growth, and increasing incomes for farmers in many localities.

As a leading company in Vietnam in providing raw materials and comprehensive solutions for the food and life sciences industries, AIG possesses an ecosystem of over eight member companies, supplying raw materials to various industries, including food, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, fragrances, and other manufacturing sectors.

Within this ecosystem, coconut and cassava are AIG’s primary raw materials, developed through strategic investments. The group focuses on building a comprehensive supply model by developing raw material regions, investing in scientific research, and applying advanced technology to the entire supply chain to ensure the quality of the raw material supply and meet the stringent requirements of the market.

Since 2014, AIG has been a pioneer in investing in the research and development of raw materials from this “green gold.” Today, the Asian Ingredients Group (AIG) has developed a coconut raw material region spanning over 1,000 hectares, cultivated entirely organically, without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers, in Ben Tre and Tra Vinh, Vietnam’s renowned “coconut capitals.” With its modern UHT sterilization and Tetra Pak packaging technology, AIG’s Vico Fresh coconut water is now available in over 40 countries, including Europe, the US, Japan, South Korea, and Australia.

In addition to coconut, cassava is another strategic raw material that AIG deeply processes using advanced technology. With state-of-the-art production equipment that ensures international standards such as ISO 22000:2018, Halal, Kosher, FDA, Organic, and Non-GMO, AIG’s cassava-based raw material products have gained acceptance in demanding markets such as Europe, North America, and China.

Moving forward, AIG will continue to invest in developing organic raw materials, enhancing product quality, and applying deep processing technologies to gain a competitive edge in an increasingly stringent and innovative market. The group will also solidify its leadership in the food and life sciences raw materials sector, strengthen collaborations with top partners, and expand distribution channels to globalize Vietnamese food raw materials, ultimately elevating the position and value of Vietnamese agricultural products on the world stage.

Through unwavering dedication, AIG has been instrumental in shaping a competitive ecosystem of raw materials derived from Vietnamese agriculture, poised for long-term success in the global market. Consequently, Vietnamese agriculture is evolving from a raw material hub to a pivotal player in the global value chain, especially in the segment of natural ingredients with high added value./.
