On May 29, the exchange rate of the Vietnamese Dong ( VND ) against the US Dollar and Chinese Yuan at commercial banks increased simultaneously.

Specifically, at 8:30 am on May 29, Vietcombank listed the USD exchange rate at 25,780-26,140.00 VND/USD (buying-selling), an increase of 40 VND in both buying and selling rates compared to May 28.

Meanwhile, BIDV also increased the USD exchange rate by 50 VND in both buying and selling, listing it at 25,790-26,150 VND/USD (buying-selling).

The State Bank of Vietnam also witnessed an increase in the exchange rate, with the central rate on May 28 rising by 15 VND from the previous day, settling at 24,962 VND/USD.

With a trading band of ±5% around the central rate, the ceiling and floor rates applied are 26,210 VND/USD and 23,713 VND/USD, respectively.

The reference exchange rate at the Banking Exchange Transaction Center is currently 23,750 VND/USD for buying and 26,144 VND/USD for selling.

The Chinese Yuan also rebounded, with Vietcombank increasing the buying and selling rates by 6 VND, reaching 3,552-3,666 VND/CNY (buying-selling).

Similarly, at BIDV , the Chinese Yuan exchange rate rose by 7 VND on the buying side and 8 VND on the selling side, trading at 3,571-3,669 VND/CNY (buying-selling).
