On May 26, the Wuyang-Honda joint venture (China) officially unveiled its new sports electric motorcycle, the E-VO. This marks a significant step forward in the company’s electrification strategy, aiming to offer a diverse range of smart, high-performance, and environmentally friendly vehicles.

The Honda E-VO is a product of the Wuyang-Honda joint venture in China.
The Honda E-VO boasts a design inspired by the classic cafĂ© racer style, featuring a round headlight and distinctive round LED headlights. While the classic style is often seen on Honda’s current sports models, the cafĂ© racer look like the E-VO is a rarer sight.
However, the bike still exudes modernity thanks to its sleek lines and advanced lighting technology. This combination creates a familiar yet fresh appearance, attracting attention from every angle.
The E-VO is equipped with Honda’s latest Wi-Power electric motor, delivering a maximum power output of 15.8 kW (21.2 hp) and a maximum speed of 10,000 rpm. It can accelerate from 0-50 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. With a top speed of over 120 km/h, it easily meets the needs of urban and highway commuting.
To put it into perspective, the E-VO outperforms Honda’s popular scooter models, such as the SH160i, which is powered by a 156.9cc engine producing 12.4 kW (16.63 hp) at 8,500 rpm.

The Honda E-VO is the company’s first sports electric motorcycle.
According to the information released, the Honda E-VO utilizes a one-piece aluminum alloy frame combined with an upside-down front fork and a nitrogen-filled FSD rear shock absorber, enhancing stability and providing effective damping.
In terms of connectivity, the Honda E-VO integrates the Wi LINK smart platform, allowing users to control and monitor the vehicle via a mobile app. A 7-inch TFT display provides all the necessary information, along with a small round screen for customizable widgets.
Additionally, the motorcycle is equipped with front and rear 1080P cameras, enhancing safety and providing a convenient way to record journeys.

The Honda E-VO is believed to be one of the first electric motorcycles to achieve a five-star safety rating in the industry. Its battery is designed to be explosion-proof, and the frame and suspension have undergone over one million durability tests, ensuring maximum reliability and safety for riders.
Speaking of the battery, the Honda E-VO uses a Li-ion battery with two options: a two-battery version (4.1 kWh) offering a range of approximately 120 km, and a three-battery version (6.2 kWh) with a range of around 170 km. The multi-mode charging system supports fast charging at 3.4 kW from 20% to 80% in just one hour, which is impressive for a vehicle in this class.
The Honda E-VO is available in two versions: the two-battery model starts at 29,999 Chinese yuan (approximately 108 million VND), while the three-battery model is priced at 36,999 Chinese yuan (approximately 133 million VND). Customers can choose between two color options: cream white and black.
