Establishment of a Task Force to Inspect the Selection of Contractors for the Construction of the Ho Chi Minh City – Thu Dau Mot – Chon Thanh Expressway (Binh Phuoc Province Section)

Regarding the selection of contractors for the construction package of the Ho Chi Minh City – Thu Dau Mot – Chon Thanh Expressway Project (Binh Phuoc Province section), which is under the management of the Binh Phuoc Province Project Management Unit, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has instructed the Ministry of Finance to take the lead, in collaboration with the Ministry of Construction, to immediately establish an inter-ministerial Task Force to inspect the organization of contractor selection for this package (including tender documents, evaluation of tender documents, handling of complaints during the bidding process, capacity and experience of the expert group, and other necessary contents). This ensures fairness, transparency, and economic efficiency, as well as the correctness in the policy of maximum decentralization, local autonomy, and accountability.

The inspection should be completed and a report submitted to the Prime Minister before June 10, 2025.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested that the People’s Committee of Binh Phuoc Province closely coordinate with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Construction in performing this task. He further directed that the investor, the inviting agency, and the expert group promptly provide full reports and necessary documents and information.
