Thaiholdings Joint Stock Company (HNX: THD) has just announced its resolution to invest in the purchase of shares of Genesis Fund Management Joint Stock Company.

Thaiholdings plans to acquire 750,000 shares at a par value of VND 10,000 per share, equivalent to VND 7.5 billion. This transaction accounts for 15% of Genesis Fund’s charter capital.

The deal is expected to be executed in the second quarter of 2025.

Genesis Fund, formerly known as AIC Fund Management Joint Stock Company, is a part of the AIC Group empire.

Established in 2009 with an initial charter capital of VND 28 billion, the fund underwent a name change to Genesis in February 2020, approved by the State Securities Commission. After several adjustments, its charter capital now stands at VND 50 billion, representing 5 million shares.

Both before and after the transformation, the fund’s primary focus has been on securities investments. The Genesis Fund’s Q1 2025 financial report reveals a portfolio concentrated in banking and gold equities.
