In recent years, Honda has consistently collaborated with renowned film and comic franchises to launch special edition motorcycles. Notable releases include the Honda Giorno+ 125 Disney Fantasia 85, Honda Super Cub C125 Disney, Honda Super Cub 50/110 Hello Kitty, Honda Scoopy Hello Kitty, and Honda Monkey Star Wars.
At the end of March, the Japanese automaker introduced the Honda Scoopy Kuromi, inspired by a famous cartoon character, at the Bangkok International Motor Show. Only 2,000 units of this model were produced, and a few have recently been imported to Vietnam by a private motorcycle dealer in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Honda Scoopy Kuromi celebrates the 20th anniversary of the cartoon character Kuromi and is based on the latest generation of the Scoopy scooter series. It measures 1,869 mm in length, 693 mm in width, and 1,075 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,251 mm. The seat height is 746 mm, and the vehicle weighs approximately 95 kg.

The Scoopy Kuromi retains the smooth and rounded design of the standard model. Its unique feature is the exterior decoration, showcasing Kuromi on both sides, the front fender, and below the hook at the handlebars.

The footrest area also features a mat with the words “Kuromi 20th Anniversary.” Additionally, the manufacturer offers exclusive accessories, including a helmet and t-shirt featuring Kuromi, enhancing the collectability of this limited edition.

Beyond its distinctive aesthetics, the Honda Scoopy Kuromi boasts standard features such as LED headlights surrounded by position lights shaped like crescent moons. The rear light is circular, mirroring the front design. The side stand and center stand are painted purple, and the turn signals are halogen bulbs placed separately.

The Scoopy Kuromi offers a fully digital instrument cluster, a Smartkey system, and a Type-C charging port integrated below the handlebars for added convenience.

Both the front and rear wheels are 12-inch alloys, paired with a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. Powering the Scoopy Kuromi is a SOHC, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 109.5 cc engine that delivers 8.8 hp and 9.2 Nm of torque, coupled with a CVT transmission.

The official price of the Honda Scoopy Kuromi in Vietnam has not yet been announced by the importer. In Thailand, where it is manufactured, this scooter is priced at 60,800 baht, roughly equivalent to 43 million VND. Taking into account import taxes and fees, the actual price for Vietnamese customers is expected to be higher, similar to the Honda Scoopy Hello Kitty imported earlier this year, which retailed for around 90 million VND.
