The Drug Administration of Vietnam (under the Ministry of Health) has recently ordered a nationwide recall and suspension of a batch of Adaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (125ml bottle). The label on the affected batch displays the following information: Registration number: 001454/23/CBMP-HCM; Batch number: ADSX010324; Manufacturing date: 11-3-2024; Expiry date: 11-3-2027.

The product is manufactured and marketed by GAMMA Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Production Company Limited (Ho Chi Minh City). The recall has been initiated as the inspected samples were found to contain Methylparaben and Propylparaben, which are not part of the formula registered for this cosmetic product.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has been instructed to oversee the recall and destruction of the non-compliant batch of Adaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser – 125ml bottles. Consequently, the registration number granted to this cosmetic product has been revoked. The Department will also inspect GAMMA Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Production Company Limited to ensure compliance with regulations governing the management of cosmetic products.

Adaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is marketed as a daily facial cleanser, makeup remover, and pre-treatment cleanser for various skin conditions. It is also recommended for daily bathing for children and as a dry bath for postpartum mothers. The product is promoted as being different from regular soap, free from alkali and fragrances.
In November 2024, GAMMA Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Production Company Limited was fined VND 167.5 million for manufacturing cosmetic products that deviated from their registered formulas. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health ordered the recall and destruction of all batches of Cerina (box of 1 tube x 50g, batch number CKTT010624) and Roseders Cream (box of 1 tube x 30g, batch number DERB010624) under the GAMMA label.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam has also ordered a nationwide recall and suspension of Evit mù U – 15ml bottle, batch 010824; manufactured on 21-8-2024, with an expiry date of 21-8-2028. The registration number on the label is 18185/23/CBMP-HN.

The organization responsible for marketing and manufacturing this product is Vietnam Chemical Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Hanoi). Evit mù U Oil is promoted as a beauty product that helps nourish, protect, and care for the skin, prevents skin inflammation, and supports the regeneration of skin cells.
The recall of Evit mù U Oil has been initiated due to the inspected samples failing to meet the quality standards for volume uniformity.
Recall and Destruction of Substandard Cosmetics from Sao Thai Duong Company
The Drug Administration has ordered an immediate halt to the circulation of a batch of Aladin herbal anti-lice shampoo due to quality violations. All establishments are required to recall and return the affected products to the supplier.
