On May 29, at the regular press conference of Binh Thuan province for May 2025, authorities provided updates on the handling of an illegally constructed villa owned by Mr. Cao Thanh Sang in Village 1, Gia An commune, Tanh Linh district.

According to the People’s Committee of Tanh Linh district, in April 2025, the local authorities handed over the entire dossier on Mr. Cao Thanh Sang’s violations regarding illegal construction to the Department of Agriculture and Environment for handling.

Subsequently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tanh Linh coordinated to inspect the current status of the land and establish a record to verify the details of the violation. On May 28, the department advised the People’s Committee to consider issuing a decision on remedial measures, ordering the restoration of the land to its original state, as the time limit for punishment had expired.

Mr. Cao Thanh Sang’s villa

“After the Chairman of the People’s Committee issues the decision on remedial measures, the People’s Committee will continue to direct the implementation of procedures in accordance with legal regulations to dismantle the violating construction. It is expected to be completed before June 25, 2025,” the document from the People’s Committee of Tanh Linh stated.

At the conference, Mr. Pham Ly Kha, Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tanh Linh district, said that earlier, the local authorities had issued a plan to forcibly dismantle the illegally constructed villa. However, after consulting with various departments, some adjustments were necessary. Consequently, the district had to revise the decision to ensure its thoroughness… By June 25, 2025, the decision on remedial measures will be completed, followed by a thorough review of related documents.

At this meeting, the representative from the Department of Agriculture and Environment could not provide a specific deadline for the completion of the villa’s dismantling.
