According to the Embassy of Vietnam in Cambodia, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu recently held meetings and discussions with Cambodian ministers regarding bilateral relations.

During his meeting with Minister of Tourism, Huot Hak, Ambassador Vu proposed enhancing tourism cooperation between the two countries based on the MOU for the 2023-2028 period. He suggested connecting famous Vietnamese destinations such as Dalat, Danang, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, and Ha Long with Cambodian attractions like Phnom Penh, Seam Reap, and Sihanoukville. The Ambassador particularly emphasized the potential for establishing a direct flight route between Van Don, Quang Ninh, and Seam Reap.

Ambassador Vu also expressed his desire to facilitate the construction of the Phnom Penh-Ba Vet highway in Cambodia, which would connect to the Ho Chi Minh City-Moc Bai highway in Vietnam, making travel easier for tourists. Additionally, he proposed exploring a coastal tourism route connecting Phu Quoc in Vietnam with Kampot and Sihanoukville in Cambodia.

The Ambassador also met with Say Sam Al, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction.

Ambassador Vu affirmed that Cambodia is a key area of focus for Vietnamese businesses, especially in sectors such as agriculture, agricultural processing, information technology, digital transformation, and investment in construction and real estate.
