Positive revenue, expanding international network
According to the report presented at the meeting, in 2024, Vietjet recorded positive business performance with the highest revenue to date, and an expanding international network that boosted revenue.
In 2024, Vietjet transported 25.9 million passengers (excluding Vietjet Thailand), including over 9 million international passengers, an increase of 18% compared to 2023.
Vietjet launched 20 new international and domestic routes, bringing the total number of routes to 145, including 101 international and 44 domestic routes. Vietjet is the first airline to connect Vietnam with the five largest cities in Australia, and operates the most routes between Vietnam and India, China, South Korea, and Japan…
As per the audited financial results, in 2024, Vietjet recorded consolidated revenue of VND 72,045 billion and pre-tax profit of over VND 1,823 billion.
As of December 31, 2024, Vietjet’s total assets reached nearly VND 99,300 billion, with a debt-to-equity ratio of 2.03 times and a liquidity ratio of 1.58 times, both of which are considered healthy in the aviation industry.
The company’s cash and bank balances, together with the working capital limit, ensured its ability to make payments as planned. In 2024, Vietjet contributed over VND 7,500 billion in direct and indirect taxes and fees to the state budget.
At the beginning of 2025, Vietjet marked an important milestone in its development with its first flight from Vietnam to the United States.
To support its new development plan for the next decade, Vietjet and Airbus signed an agreement to purchase 20 new A330neo wide-body aircraft, bringing the total number of wide-body aircraft on order to 40.
