On May 30, Mr. Duong Tat Thang, Director of the Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), spoke to NLD and shared that the Ministry’s delegation worked with the authorities of Soc Trang province and directly participated in the inter-sector inspection team at C.P. Vietnam’s store, which was accused of selling sick pigs.

“We will specifically verify the company’s processing procedures and inspect their certification documents. Once we have the results, we will disclose them to ensure objectivity and accuracy,” Mr. Thang emphasized.

It is known that, on the afternoon of May 30, the Soc Trang Police worked with Mr. L.Q.N. (40 years old, from My Xuyen district, Soc Trang province) regarding his allegations on social media against the C.P. Freshop My Xuyen store in Soc Trang, owned by C.P. Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company.

Previously, this individual accused the C.P. Freshop store in Soc Trang of mixing sick and foul-smelling pigs and chickens for sale. He also posted many pictures of sick and dirty pigs and screenshots of conversations from a chat group named Fresh Shop…

On the same day, May 30, the inter-sector inspection team of Soc Trang province (including economic police, market management, and the Department of Livestock and Veterinary) completed the inspection of goods at the C.P. Freshop store in Soc Trang.

In response to this shocking information, C.P. Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company issued a statement denying the allegations, stating that the information about their post-slaughter products was fabricated and misleading.
