In the afternoon of May 29, the State Bank of Vietnam organized the Banking Industry Digital Transformation Event for 2025, themed “Smart Digital Ecosystem in the New Era.” This annual industry event was graced by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for the third consecutive year, who toured the exhibits and participated in the activities.

During his visit, the Prime Minister commended the innovative atmosphere, determined spirit, and strong participation of the entire industry, especially commercial banks, in placing people and businesses at the center of digital transformation. The well-invested technology displays showcased significant advancements in digitization, infrastructure, services, and user experiences.

Speaking at the event, the Prime Minister emphasized that the goal of digital transformation is to facilitate smoother connections and transactions between commercial banks, people, businesses, and the state, contributing to the country’s rapid and sustainable development. It also aids in the advancement of the digital economy, digital government, digital society, and digital citizens. Additionally, it supports macroeconomic stability, inflation control, and the maintenance of the economy’s major balances by reducing costs in the banking sector, for people and businesses, while also minimizing time, hassles, and corruption through reduced direct human interaction.

To that end, the Prime Minister directed that the banking industry’s digital transformation must closely follow the Party’s guidelines and take decisive actions to enhance effectiveness. It should seize opportunities, embrace cutting-edge technology, foster development, pioneer innovation, and offer diverse products and professional services with a focus on security and citizen-centricity. The transformation should also be market-oriented and dedicated to the benefit of people and businesses.

Earlier that day, as part of his official visit to Vietnam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, together with Hungarian President Sulyok Tamas and high-ranking delegates, toured the exhibits at the Banking Industry Digital Transformation Day 2025.

HDBank’s booth once again stood out as a highlight, attracting numerous visitors and offering immersive experiences. The bank’s representatives welcomed Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Hungarian President Sulyok Tamas, and leaders from the State Bank of Vietnam and other prominent organizations. They introduced prominent digital financial solutions during the visit.

In the afternoon, Mr. Pham Quoc Thanh, Vice Chairman of HDBank’s Board of Directors, hosted the Prime Minister and Governor of the State Bank, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, at HDBank’s exhibit. He presented new digital banking solutions, with a focus on the innovative 4-in-1 Card, which offers customers a range of benefits and can be applied for online within just 5 minutes.

Since late 2024, HDBank has introduced Apple Pay and Google Pay functionalities to this card, enabling quick payments with just a tap on smartphones or smartwatches. Within six months, transaction volumes on these platforms surpassed 32,000. Additionally, the card promotion campaign reached over 20 million users across digital platforms, generating more than 100 million impressions. This has contributed to enhancing brand awareness and promoting digital finance among the community.

The 4-in-1 Card is not just a convenient solution but also reflects HDBank’s commitment to building a seamless, accessible, and user-friendly payment ecosystem, especially for customers transitioning to digital payment habits.

Beyond showcasing its products, HDBank also brought to this year’s Banking Industry Digital Transformation Event a spirit of innovation, humanity, and sustainability, befitting a modern bank. This aligns with the bank’s strategy to accompany the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam in implementing major orientations such as Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Decision 810 of the State Bank of Vietnam on the banking industry’s digital transformation.
