Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the goal of digital transformation in banking is to accelerate, break through, and reach the finish line earlier than expected, with “5 accelerations and breakthroughs”: accelerating and breaking through in perfecting the institution; accelerating and breaking through in developing digital infrastructure; accelerating and breaking through in digital transformation for people and businesses, especially ensuring equitable access for remote, border, and island areas and the disadvantaged; accelerating and breaking through in developing human resources for digital transformation; and accelerating and breaking through in ensuring security and safety in the digital transformation.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated the experience and atmosphere of digital transformation through the activities and exhibitions at the “Banking Sector Digital Transformation Day 2025”. The reports and speeches demonstrated the strong determination and positive participation of commercial banks, especially with the spirit of putting people and businesses at the center of digital transformation.

According to the Prime Minister’s assessment, the exhibition booths at the event showed significant progress, growth, and development of banks in digital transformation. This is not only a space to display technology and solutions but also a platform to showcase the determination and responsibility of the entire banking sector in renewing thinking, operating methods, and approaches to serving customers.

A highlight of the event was the presence of new-generation digital bank models. These models, along with digital solutions, initiatives, and utilities, attracted special attention, including a new brand that officially entered the market earlier this year after a transformation process.

For the first time participating in the Banking Sector Digital Transformation Day, Vikki Digital Bank – a new-generation digital bank – quickly demonstrated its pioneering and proactive role in the digital transformation of the entire industry.

Vikki Digital Bank’s journey, introduced at the event, is accompanied by a long-term vision: to build a comprehensive, modern, and humane digital financial ecosystem, linked to the goal of improving people’s quality of life and promoting community finance.

The solutions offered by this new-generation digital bank not only serve dynamic individual customers in urban areas but also target low-income groups, micro-enterprises, and household businesses with simple, accessible, and safe tools, in line with the spirit of “leaving no one behind” in the digital era.

Additionally, the integration of eKYC, AI, big data, and biometric authentication in the banking process demonstrates the bank’s efforts to protect users and enhance system security – one of the “5 accelerations and breakthroughs” emphasized by the Prime Minister at the event.

During his visit to the Vikki Digital Bank booth, the Prime Minister commended the bank’s progress in its comprehensive transformation, acknowledging its “strong resurgence” in a short period after restructuring. The bank has not only overhauled its operating model but also focused on financial technology, user experience, and inclusiveness in providing financial services.

Along with the presence of new-generation digital bank models, the “Banking Sector Digital Transformation Day 2025” also served as a forum to review the trends and highlights of the industry’s digital transformation journey over the years.

With the theme “Smart Digital Ecosystem in the New Era”, the event continued to demonstrate the strong commitment of the banking sector to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW on the breakthrough development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, and the National Digital Transformation Program until 2025, with a vision towards 2030.
