Specifically, the CIC examined the Report proposing disciplinary measures for party members who violated regulations in local and unit Party Committees: the Ministry of Education and Training; Vietnam Rubber Industry Group; Dong Nai and Hau Giang provinces.
The CIC acknowledged that Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education and Training, during her term as a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Cu Lo Party Committee (Nghe An province), violated Party regulations and State laws in performing her assigned duties. She also violated the rules that Party members must comply with and the responsibility to set an example, causing serious consequences and reducing the prestige of the Party organization, which led to the necessity for disciplinary actions.
The CIC recognized that Messrs. Tran Ngoc Thuan, former member of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprise Bloc and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Rubber Industry Group; Vo Van Chanh, former member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province; and Nguyen Van Tien, former Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the People’s Council of Hau Giang province, experienced ideological, moral, and lifestyle degeneration. They violated Party regulations and State laws in performing their assigned duties and in preventing corruption and negativity. They also violated the rules that Party members must comply with and the responsibility to set an example, causing very severe consequences and seriously affecting the prestige of local Party committees, authorities, and the agencies and units where they worked, which led to the necessity for disciplinary actions.
Considering the content, nature, extent, consequences, and causes of the violations, and based on Party regulations, the CIC decided to discipline Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi with a warning and proposed that competent authorities consider and discipline Messrs. Tran Ngoc Thuan, Vo Van Chanh, and Nguyen Van Tien.
The CIC requested the Provincial Party Committee of Nghe An to direct and consider handling other individuals involved.
