On May 29th, the Investigation Police Agency of Dong Nai Province decided to initiate a criminal case for “Production and trading of counterfeit goods” at Dong Nai EBC Medical Factory JSC to investigate and handle it according to regulations.
The investigation agency determined that EBC Company cooperated and produced Hanayuki Sunscreen Body products for VB Group JSC (represented by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu, known as Doan Di Bang’s husband).

Dong Nai EBC Medical Factory and the EBC Ecosystem
Dong Nai EBC Medical Factory JSC, formerly known as E.B.C Giang Dien Cosmetics Co., Ltd., was established in November 2014, specializing in the production of cosmetics, soap, detergents, and sanitary preparations.
With an initial capital of only VND 2 billion, the company has changed its name, legal representative, and increased capital several times. In January 2025, the company officially transformed into a joint-stock company and took its current name. The company also increased its capital to VND 60 billion, 30 times higher than its initial capital after 10 years.
This company produces cosmetics for many partners, not just VB Group JSC. However, there is currently no specific information about other partners besides VB Group.

As for the EBC Pharmaceutical Group, it was established in March 2024 with a charter capital of VND 15 billion. Its main business lines include office headquarters activities, wholesale of food, cosmetics production, scientific research, and technology transfer in the field of medical sciences…
The company’s business registration update shows that the position of General Director of the EBC Pharmaceutical Group has changed continuously since 2024. Currently, this position is held by Ms. Huynh Do Tuong Vy (born in 2003).
Ms. Vy is also a representative of EBC Y Duoc Green JSC and EBC Global JSC.
The current Chairman of the Board of Directors of the EBC Pharmaceutical Group is Mr. Dinh Van Lien. Mr. Lien is introduced as a graduate in Chinese Studies and a pharmacist. Before entering the business field, Mr. Lien had various jobs, from translator to broadcaster and Vietnamese teacher for foreign businessmen.
In 2013, he shifted his focus to cosmetics production and distribution, laying the foundation for the formation and expansion of the EBC ecosystem in later years.
Currently, this ecosystem includes many units such as EBC Farm, EBC Factory, EBC Invest, EBC Healthcare, EBC Media, EBC Institute of Training and Technology Transfer, and EBB Institute of Cosmetics and Health Sciences.

VB Group: Doan Di Bang’s Husband Became CEO in July 2024
Regarding VB Group, this enterprise was established in April 2021, registering its main business line as wholesale of other household appliances.
Since July 2024, the General Director of VB Group has been Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu – Doan Di Bang’s husband.
According to tax declaration data, the company has 10 employees. VB Group is also the unit operating the Hanayuki cosmetic brand, which often features images of Mr. Vu and singer Doan Di Bang on its website.
In addition to VB Group, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu was also the legal representative of VB Universal JSC and DN The gioi Steak. Both of these enterprises have ceased operations.
According to the quality standards dossier, the Hanayuki Sunscreen Body product was registered with an SPF 50 sun protection factor. However, the test results of the Ho Chi Minh City Drug Quality Control Institute, sampled directly at the Dong Nai EBC Medical Factory, showed that the SPF sun protection factor reached only 2.4, equivalent to 4.8% of the registered level and the label on the package.
Based on regulations, the above sunscreen product has the main ingredient (SPF) that creates the value and function of the goods below 70%, which is considered counterfeit.
Regarding the quantity of products, EBC Company produced and transferred 1,652 products to VB Group for sale on the market at a unit price of VND 99,000/product, equivalent to a total value of VND 163.5 million, showing signs of “Production and trading of counterfeit goods”.
