Vietcombank has consistently been one of Vietnam’s most profitable banks in recent years. For instance, in 2024, the bank recorded a remarkable pre-tax profit of over 42,236 billion VND, with an after-tax profit of 33,853 billion VND, solidifying its leading position in the banking industry. In the competitive job market, securing a position at Vietcombank is highly sought-after, and its employees are known for their high productivity.
As of the end of 2024, Vietcombank had a total of 24,306 employees across its network, an increase of 813 individuals compared to 2023. Specifically, the head office employed 23,538 people, a growth of 796 employees. This makes Vietcombank one of the largest employers in Vietnam’s financial and banking sector.
With a pre-tax profit of over 42 trillion VND in 2024 and a workforce of over 24,300 employees, each Vietcombank staff member contributed an estimated average of 1.7 billion VND in pre-tax profit to the bank.
Additionally, Vietcombank boasts one of the highest average employee incomes in the industry. Specifically, the average income of its officers and employees reached 454 million VND per person per year, equivalent to 38.1 million VND per person per month, reflecting a roughly 1.1% increase compared to 2023.
Vietcombank’s recruitment rate for the past year stood at 12%, while its attrition rate was 4%. This equates to an estimated 1,000 employees leaving the bank and over 2,800 new hires.
According to Vietcombank, the bank has conducted over 70 centralized and individual recruitment drives for its branches and head office units, including 11 centralized recruitment campaigns for its branches.
Female officers and employees constitute a significant 61% of Vietcombank’s workforce. In terms of management hierarchy, 18% are in leadership positions, while the remaining 82% are specialists.
Vietcombank’s workforce also leans towards a younger demographic, with 43% of employees aged between 22 and 30 years old. The average age of employees at Vietcombank in 2024 was 36.5 years old.
