On the stock market, during the trading session on May 30, 2025, Vingroup’s VIC shares continued to surge to 98,400 VND per share, marking an almost 45% increase in just one month.

As a result, the asset value based on the share ownership of Vingroup’s Chairman, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, reached 221 trillion VND, a 45% increase compared to April and nearly 130 trillion VND higher than last year, equivalent to a 142.6% surge.

Mr. Vuong’s wealth even surpassed the market capitalization of numerous large enterprises listed on the stock exchange, such as Hoa Phat, FPT, PV GAS, Masan Consumer, and Vinamilk, as well as four banks: Techcombank, MB, VPBank, and ACB. It is only second to two other banks, Vietcombank and BIDV, and two other companies also owned by Mr. Vuong: Vingroup and Vinhomes.

Regarding the ranking of Vietnam’s richest people, as of May 30, 2025, the total assets of the top 20 wealthiest individuals on the stock exchange exceeded 496.7 trillion VND, an increase of 87.4 trillion VND, or 21.3%, compared to the last trading session of April.

Ms. Pham Thu Huong, Vice Chairwoman of Vingroup and Mr. Vuong’s wife, and Ms. Pham Thuy Hang, Ms. Huong’s sister, both witnessed a 45% increase in their assets compared to April due to their ownership of VIC shares in Vingroup.

Notably, Mr. Vuong’s wealth is only 340 billion VND shy of the combined wealth of the next 12 individuals on the list.

Familiar names continue to dominate the top 20, including Mr. Tran Dinh Long, Chairman of Hoa Phat Group; Mr. Do Anh Tuan, Chairman of Sunshine Homes; Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chairwoman of Vietjet Air; Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, Chairman of Masan Group; and Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT, among others.
