The “Enhancing Cybersecurity and Enterprise Resilience in the Cloud and AI Era” conference, organized by Palo Alto Networks Vietnam in collaboration with FPT Corporation, Elite Technology Joint Stock Company, and Eclypsium, gathered nearly 100 guests who were IT leaders and cybersecurity experts. The event focused on discussing the new generation’s comprehensive information security strategy and quick data recovery methods for businesses after cyber-attacks.

AI-ENHANCED SOC: A SOLUTION FOR MULTI-CLOUD ENVIRONMENTS

In his opening remarks, Mr. Le Quang Vinh Phuc, Senior Vice President and Deputy Director of FPT IS, emphasized the impact of AI and cloud computing on enterprises: “The explosion of AI and cloud computing is reshaping how businesses operate and creating new growth opportunities. However, it also brings unforeseen security risks.”

The cloud environment presents new challenges for Security Operations Centers (SOCs). Compared to traditional infrastructure, cloud-based SOCs have more boundaries to monitor, with the number of assets to oversee increasing by about tenfold, leading to a significant surge in alerts. In this context, AI can be a pivotal solution, as explained by Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, a cybersecurity consultant at FPT IS.

“FPT strategizes and gradually integrates AI into SOC tools and processes to enhance their effectiveness. AI in SOC plays a crucial role in predictive threat detection, alert classification and filtering, minimizing false alerts, automated response to predefined scenarios, and providing real-time threat intelligence,” shared Dr. Binh, highlighting the significance and practical applications of AI in SOC.

CLOUD AND AI: THE NEW GENERATION OF CYBERSECURITY

Mr. La Hong Nguyen, a solution architect from FPT Smart Cloud’s Technology Block, shed light on security trends as enterprises migrate their infrastructure to the cloud, especially with AI taking a central role.

According to Mr. Nguyen, the new generation of cloud computing can boost enterprise operational efficiency by 30-40%, automate 30-35% of IT tasks, and reduce system ownership costs by up to 20%. However, to achieve sustainable effectiveness, businesses need flexible security architectures deeply integrated into each infrastructure and application layer, which traditional models can no longer provide.

“In the AI era, security needs to be smart, adaptive, and pervasive from the edge to the core, from operations to application development,” emphasized Mr. Nguyen. FPT Cloud currently offers the ASPM solution, enabling businesses to establish, monitor, and adjust security policies during the software development phase. This approach helps identify and address risks early on, minimizing the potential for post-deployment vulnerabilities.

ECLYPSIUM: HARDWARE-CENTRIC CYBERSECURITY

Mr. Ray Tan, Eclypsium’s Asia Region Technology Solutions Architect, offered a unique perspective: “Cybersecurity doesn’t just end with software or the cloud; it starts from deep within the microchip—the last but pivotal piece in the protection puzzle.”

Eclypsium provides advanced hardware and firmware security solutions, enabling early detection of potential vulnerabilities and hidden attacks at the device level. Combined with an AI-driven platform, this solution automates responses and centralizes management, delivering comprehensive protection for businesses operating in the digital age.

CXO PANEL DISCUSSION: NEW THINKING ON HUMAN RESOURCES AND PROACTIVE DEFENSE

A highlight of the conference was the CxO panel discussion, “CxO: Strategies for Enhancing Cybersecurity and Comprehensive Strength for Enterprises in the Cloud and AI Era.” The session featured experts from FPT, Palo Alto Networks, and Mr. Nguyen Vuong Khoa, CTO of Fonos. The panelists agreed that people remain at the forefront of cybersecurity strategies. Businesses need to invest in security awareness training, establish clear response procedures, and gradually shift their mindset from passive to proactive defense.
