Information provided by the representative of CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company (CP Vietnam) and the owner of the Dững Nga pig slaughterhouse (in Hau Giang) was confirmed at noon on June 2nd.
Accordingly, on the morning of the same day, the inspection team of the functional agencies of Hau Giang province inspected two pig slaughterhouses – which are the outsourcing facilities for CP Vietnam. The two pig slaughterhouses are named Nguyen Dan and Dững Nga, both located in the province.

At the Dững Nga slaughterhouse (in Long Thanh, Phung Hiep), where about 500 pigs of CP Vietnam are gathered, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cuong, the representative of the slaughterhouse, admitted that the pictures posted by Mr. L.Q.N were taken at this facility.
According to Mr. Cuong, the slaughterhouse processes about 30 pigs daily. All pigs are imported in a healthy state and have complete health certificates.
However, there was one pig that showed “abnormal symptoms”. As soon as it was discovered, the facility reported to the company for guidance on destruction and disposal.
Mr. Cuong affirmed that the aforementioned pig had been destroyed and not “leaked” to the market as accused by Mr. L.Q.N.
Present at the Dững Nga slaughterhouse with the inspection team, Mr. Ha Huu Tam, the representative of CP Vietnam, confirmed that what Mr. Nguyen Chi Cuong said was true.
According to Mr. Tam, the “abnormal” pig had been disposed of by the unit through incineration and fed to fish. Mr. Tam also provided a paper, called a “request” to destroy the sick pig, sent to the leadership of CP Vietnam.
“At 2:30 am on March 26, 2022, there was a pig carcass at the Tran Thi Nga slaughterhouse, Long Hoa A1, Long Thanh, Phung Hiep, Hau Giang province.
During the slaughtering process at the facility, two pig carcasses were found to have severe skin inflammation and did not meet the requirements for clean food with a total weight of 72.6 kg.
Now, I make this request for the leadership of the Company to approve the destruction of the above two pig carcasses at the slaughterhouse by incineration and change the purpose to use them as fish food,” the request stated.
Below the request are the signatures of five people: the representative of the slaughterhouse owner, the manager, the veterinarian on duty at the slaughterhouse, and the staff in charge of weighing the pigs…
Earlier, on the morning of May 30th, social media circulated a post from the account “Jonny Lieu”, which was confirmed by PV to be Mr. L.Q.N – a sales staff member of CP Vietnam, specializing in the pork segment in the outsourcing area.
Mr. N. stated that during his work at the CP Fresh Shop My Xuyen (in My Xuyen town, My Xuyen district, Soc Trang province), he, along with some employees and local people, discovered many abnormal signs related to the meat business there.
He accused CP Vietnam of mixing sick pork and chicken meat; even meat with foul odors, lumps, abscesses, pus, or pre-processed meat… were still supplied to the Fresh Shop system for consumption.
At noon on the same day, CP Vietnam issued a letter to its customers and partners, affirming that Mr. L.Q.N’s accusations were fabricated and untrue.
In the afternoon of the same day, an inter-branch inspection team from Soc Trang province inspected the Fresh Shop My Xuyen.
The initial results from the inspection team showed that at the time of inspection, no damaged, spoiled, expired, or suspicious products from sick livestock and poultry were found. However, the working process also discovered some legal violations of the establishment.
Specifically, the certificate of food safety conditions No. 26/2022/CCQLCL-ST, issued by the Sub-Department of Management of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Quality, had expired since March 8, 2025.
In addition, the establishment could not present the original business registration certificate, as well as the confirmation of food safety training for the owner and employees.
The inspection team made a record of the incident and temporarily seized all the goods being traded at the time of the inspection to serve the verification and handling of the case.
