On June 4th, 2025, the exchange rates of the Vietnamese Dong (VND) against the US Dollar (USD) and Chinese Yuan (CNY) witnessed an upward trend across commercial banks.
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,004 VND per USD on June 4th, marking an increase of 22 VND from the previous day.
With a permitted fluctuation of ±5% from this mid-rate, the ceiling and floor rates applicable are 26,254 VND/USD and 23,753 VND/USD, respectively.
The Vietnam Central Bank’s trading rate is currently quoted at 23,804 VND/USD for buying and 26,204 VND/USD for selling.
As of 8:40 AM on June 4th, Vietcombank and BIDV listed their buying and selling rates for USD at 25,870-26,230 VND/USD, reflecting a rise of 20 VND in both directions compared to the previous day.
Concurrently, the Chinese Yuan appreciated. Vietcombank’s buying and selling rates are quoted at 3,568-3,682 VND/CNY, an increase of 9 VND on both sides from the previous day.
Similarly, at BIDV, the Chinese Yuan rates rose by 9 VND on the buying side and 8 VND on the selling side from June 3rd, now standing at 3,586-3,683 VND/CNY for buying and selling, respectively. /.
