In June 2025, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Quynh was appointed Chairman of the Board, and Ms. Vo Thi Hoang Quan took on the role of CEO at Phuong Nam Culture Joint Stock Company (HoSE: PNC). These are the first senior personnel changes after the enterprise officially announced its merger with Thien Long Group (TLG).

According to PNC, both newly appointed executives have extensive experience in publishing, retail, and business administration. They are expected to lead PNC into a new phase of development, especially as the company undergoes restructuring.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Quynh is a familiar name in the publishing industry. He has over 30 years of experience in managing businesses. In the book industry, he served as the General Director of Alpha Books and Vice Chairman of PNC from 2011 to 2016. He is currently the Chairman of Saigon Books and Zenbooks. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Publishing Association.
On the other hand, Ms. Vo Thi Hoang Quan has held senior management positions in large corporations such as FPT, Vingroup, Vinamilk, and Masan. She has deep expertise in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), pharmaceutical, and technology industries, particularly in distribution and retail. She has been involved in strategic planning, business model development, and system implementation in multiple enterprises.
PNC believes that Ms. Quan’s execution capability and “battlefield” experience will help improve the chain’s operational efficiency and expand its business in the coming period.
At the end of May, Thien Long Group officially announced its acquisition of the entire Phuong Nam Bookstore system. The deal attracted attention in the book publishing and culture industry due to the scale of the system, which includes nearly 50 bookstores, with over one-third located in Ho Chi Minh City. Many of the stores are situated in areas with high foot traffic, such as shopping malls, the Nguyen Van Binh Book Street, tourist areas, and shopping destinations.
Before the acquisition by Thien Long, Phuong Nam’s business activities showed signs of stagnation. In 2024, the company recorded a revenue of VND 614 billion, a 6% decrease compared to the previous year. After-tax profit reached VND 10.2 billion, a nearly 40% drop from the 2023 figure of VND 16.7 billion.
