Office Supplies Giant, Thiên Long, Prepares to Take Over Phương Nam Bookstore Chain
On June 3rd, the HQV Board of Directors (PNC) appointed HQV as the new CEO, replacing NNQ who had just resigned from her position as CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board. The Board also proposed to terminate NNQ‘s labor contract with the company. At the same time, NDT was appointed as the new Vice President, replacing LQP.
It is worth noting that HQV is currently the Director of Strategy at Thiên Long, while NDT is the Investment Director.
At the highest level, NTQ assumed the role of Chairman of the Board, replacing NHH who now becomes the Vice Chairman. NTQ also becomes the legal representative of PNC, replacing NNQ.
Several other members of the Board of Directors have also submitted their resignations, including NDL and VTDP. Their resignations are based on personal reasons and will need to be officially approved by the upcoming General Meeting of Shareholders.
NTQ is a familiar face in the publishing industry, having served as Vice Chairman and Independent Member of the PNC Board of Directors during 2012-2016, CEO of Alpha Books, and currently Chairman of Saigon Books and Zenbooks. With over 17 years of experience in the industry, he has a deep understanding of the cultural retail market and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Publishing Association.
NTQ also has a strong background in retail, having served as Vice President of Phu Nhuan Jewelry (HOSE: PNJ) during 2007-2012, and as a member of the company’s Board of Directors until 2017.
HQV, on the other hand, has years of experience working with large corporations such as FPT, Vingroup, Masan, and Vinamilk. She has been involved in strategic planning and business model development in the pharmaceutical, fast-moving consumer goods, and technology industries. From 2018 to 2021, she built and operated the Long Chau pharmacy chain, ensuring efficient operations and distribution across 64 provinces.
At Vinamilk, HQV directly implemented a modern distribution system, bringing products to various customer groups such as schools, hospitals, residential areas, and enterprises. These experiences are expected to bring positive changes to PNC as it integrates into the Thiên Long ecosystem.
