The decision on the appointment took effect on May 30, 2025.

Meanwhile, Donal Boylan, Luu Duc Khanh, Chu Viet Cuong, and Nguyen Thanh Hung have resigned from their positions as members of the Board of Directors. These individuals will continue to accompany the company as members of the Founding Council and advisors.

Mr. Philipp Rösler is a German of Vietnamese origin, born in Vietnam in 1973. He was an orphan and was adopted by a German couple when he was only nine months old. With over 30 years of experience in the economic field, he has held several leadership positions in large corporations such as Siemens, Deutsche Bahn, and Lufthansa.

In 2009, he became the German Minister of Health – the youngest minister and the first person of Vietnamese origin to hold this position in a European country. In 2011, he was elected Chairman of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) – the youngest in the party’s history, while also serving as Deputy Chancellor and Minister of Economics and Technology of the Federal Republic of Germany until 2013.

After leaving politics, he moved to Zurich, Switzerland, and established an investment consulting company to foster collaboration between Europe and Southeast Asia, especially Vietnam. He has served on the Executive Board of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and supported Vietnam in initiatives related to Industry 4.0. In 2021, he was appointed Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Zurich and Zug, Switzerland.

Since October 23, 2023, Mr. Philipp Rösler has been an Independent Member of the Board of Directors of Vietravel Airlines, while also acting as a strategic advisor for the airline’s international cooperation expansion, serving as a bridge to investors in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
