Just two weeks after receiving approval from the Prime Minister, Sun Phu Quoc Airways (SPA) has begun recruiting for various positions. The airline is seeking captains and first officers for its Airbus A320 fleet, as well as flight dispatchers, finance and accounting specialists, and aircraft maintenance technicians.
SPA is also recruiting for senior representatives and supervisors to be based at Noi Bai, Da Nang, Tan Son Nhat, and Phu Quoc airports.

According to the approved investment plan, SPA aims to have a fleet of 31 aircraft by 2030. The total investment for the project is VND 2,500 billion (approximately USD 98.81 million). The airline is expected to commence operations in the fourth quarter of 2025, offering direct flights connecting Phu Quoc with key economic and tourist destinations in Vietnam and abroad.
SPA is positioned as a commercial airline with a charter focus, dedicated to providing passengers with seamless holiday experiences. With Phu Quoc as its focal point, the airline will directly link the “Pearl Island” of Vietnam to major economic and tourist hubs within the country, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang, reducing travel time and reliance on connecting flights.
“SPA connects Vietnam’s ‘Pearl Island’ to key economic and tourism centers in the country, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang,” said a spokesperson for the airline. “For international markets, we aim to connect Phu Quoc with major cities and top tourist destinations in Asia, including Japan, South Korea, China, and other potential markets in the region.”
