Giving his parents a new mattress for Tet, Nam (25, Ho Chi Minh City) considered various Asian and European brands, believing that “foreign products are the best.” However, his family insisted on a Kymdan mattress. Nam’s father trusted the earliest natural rubber mattress brand (established in 1954), believing that it wouldn’t have survived and thrived for 71 years without being recognized by customers for its core value – product quality. Here are seven unique features of Vietnam’s leading natural rubber mattress brand that he discovered:

100% Natural Rubber

Kymdan mattresses are made entirely from pure natural rubber (Natural Rubber – NR) without any synthetic rubber blend. Natural rubber latex typically has poorer aging resistance than synthetic rubber, but with a special formula, Kymdan has created a mattress line with an average lifespan of 25 years and an impressive aging index of 0.86.

Not only ordinary users but also Dr. Rodney Rowe, a specialist in Osteopathy Australia’s Bone and Spine department, chooses Kymdan mattresses. He even recommends them to his patients to support their spine health and improve sleep quality.

Exclusive Open-Cell Structure

Since 2006, the company has had an internationally-recognized laboratory researching natural rubber materials. Four years later, they launched Vietnam’s first mattress capable of withstanding the compression and abrasion of a 10-ton road roller for 200 consecutive passes without affecting its quality and design. The mattress’s internal structure features an open-cell system for air circulation, reducing lateral tension and ensuring breathability. This is why the mattress remains comfortable and doesn’t cause back pain even after years of use.

Natural rubber mattresses are known for their durability among various mattress materials. The brand representative revealed that, on average, it takes the latex extracted from 440 mature rubber trees to produce a Kymdan Deluxe mattress of 160 x 200 x 15 cm.

Inhibits Mold and Bacteria Growth

Many customers are curious about the technology behind Kymdan’s antimicrobial and antifungal capabilities. However, the brand’s mattress production formula remains a well-guarded secret.

The company representative only disclosed that the production process mandates the purification of raw materials, selecting the best sources. Kymdan has invested in an internationally-recognized laboratory with VILAS certification, ensuring strict testing of input materials before, during, and after production. The brand refuses to blend synthetic rubber. Moreover, after their typical lifespan of over 40 years, these mattresses naturally decompose without harming the environment.

According to UL (Underwriters Laboratories) standards, a product is considered antibacterial if its Bacteria Resistant Value is greater than 2.0. Scientists found that Kymdan mattresses have a Staphylococcus aureus resistance index of 3.5 and an E. coli resistance index of 6.5, far surpassing the standard.

In addition to antibacterial capabilities, UL also tested the mattresses for mold resistance, which is categorized into five levels. Kymdan mattresses achieved the highest level – Level 0. During the four-week test, scientists did not observe any mold growth under a microscope.

Flame Resistance

Kymdan mattresses have been tested and certified for flame resistance (not igniting or spreading flames) by reputable laboratories worldwide, adhering to the US standards of 16 CFR 1632 and 16 CFR 1633. In one test, an iron at 295°C and hot coals at 533°C were placed on a Kymdan mattress for 10 and 7 minutes, respectively. The results showed that the areas in contact with the iron or hot coals formed indentations without igniting flames.

In another experiment, experts performed welding with an electric current of 155 amperes. Sparks fell on the mattress from a distance of 10 cm continuously for 2 minutes. While the sparks landed on the mattress, it did not catch fire. With these certifications and test results, Kymdan is the first natural rubber mattress brand allowed to be imported and distributed throughout the United States.

Exceptional Durability

Kymdan mattresses are among the most durable premium mattress products on the market today. Tests show that even after years of use, the mattresses retain their elasticity without sagging or deforming. Their lifespan can exceed 25 years and even reach 30-35 years with proper use and care. With proven longevity, Kymdan mattresses are not only a health investment but also a financially smart choice, saving long-term replacement costs.

Health and Environmental Safety Certifications

Made from 100% natural rubber without blends, Kymdan mattresses are entirely safe for users’ health throughout their lifespan. Additionally, when their lifespan ends (typically after over 40 years), these mattresses naturally decompose without harming the environment. Kymdan is also the most awarded Vietnamese natural rubber mattress brand, holding titles such as membership in the Australian Furniture Association, certification for chiropractic treatment by Osteopathy Australia, Greenguard and Greenguard Gold certifications for environmental protection and community health safety from UL – Underwriters Laboratories, USA, radon-free certification, and the WIPO Award from the World Intellectual Property Organization for their innovative use of the intellectual property system in production and development.

Diverse Designs for Various Needs

Kymdan mattresses are designed with three different density levels to accommodate different user weight categories, optimizing sleep experiences and effectively protecting the spine.

Kymdan mattresses – no sagging, high compression resistance, excellent elasticity, and instant recovery to original shape and size.

The density (density) of mousse mattress level 1 (SDH), with a specific gravity of 175 – 200 kg/m3, is suitable for daily use by customers ranging from newborns to adults weighing less than 80 kg. The brand representative explained that they do not produce mattresses with lower mousse density as it may pose a risk of spinal curvature, affecting users’ health.

Next, the density of the mousse mattress level 2 (SH), with a specific gravity of 180 – 210 kg/m3, is suitable for customers who are new to using mattresses, patients with spinal conditions, or those weighing between 80 and 100 kg.

Finally, the density (density) of the mousse mattress level 3 (SSH), with a specific gravity of 190 – 220 kg/m3, is suitable for users with spinal problems, long-term patients, or those weighing over 100 kg. This product is also ideal for facilities offering massage services.
