One Bloor West (The One Toronto) Completes Final Panel Installation

BM Windows has announced the completion of the 6720th and final panel installation for the One Bloor West project (formerly known as The One Toronto). This marks a significant milestone in the team’s journey to conquer Canada’s tallest building, standing at over 300 meters (85 stories). The project is on track to reach the 300-meter mark in July, solidifying its status as a super tall building pioneer in Canada.

The technical validation process throughout the project involved the participation of the investor and international consulting and design units.

The investor highly appreciated the capabilities of BM Windows, a Vietnamese contractor participating in this world-class project. “As the manufacturer and supplier of The One Toronto’s façade, BM Windows has excellently fulfilled its mission, demonstrating its technical expertise and adherence to international standards and production processes,” shared the investor.

It is important to highlight that The One Toronto is considered one of the most technically challenging and complex projects in North America. The project demands strict adherence to super tall building standards, requiring highly precise and advanced production techniques. BM Windows representative stated, “The One Toronto is a special project, designed by Foster & Partners, one of the world’s leading design firms, featuring intricate, unique, and refined details. The technical specifications are among the highest in North America, adhering to ASTM International standards, catering to Canada’s harsh temperate climate, which can drop to as low as -18°C, and withstand wind pressures of up to 4.0kPa at the upper levels.”

Following the success of The One Toronto, BM Windows has been trusted once again with the new 55 Pitt Street project, a contemporary architectural icon in the heart of Sydney’s financial and administrative center.

At 238.1 meters tall and spanning 55 stories, 55 Pitt Street is designed by the globally renowned architectural firms SHoP Architects and Woods Bagot, in collaboration with Prism Facades, known as Australia’s most innovative façade design company.

The project is developed by Mirvac, a leading Australian project developer known for its strategic vision and sustainable business philosophy, evident in the new-generation commercial office complex, 55 Pitt Street. BM Windows also had the opportunity to work with prominent Australian façade names such as Core Facade Delivery Management (CoreFDM), a local façade contractor and one of the most reputable façade consultants in Australia.

As the façade supplier, BM Windows has been involved in the research and development of technical solutions from the project’s early stages. A standout feature of the project’s façade design is its distinctive soft curvature, creating a unique style among the surrounding massive structures in the city center.

Domestically, BM Windows has recently completed the Marina Central Tower project, one of the top three tallest buildings in Ho Chi Minh City, and is actively constructing the Long Thanh International Airport, along with numerous other iconic projects across Vietnam: The Marc 88, Parc Hanoi, K8HH1, Lotus HCM, Lumi Hanoi, OSI Tower, and more.

Regarding the Long Thanh International Airport mega-project, BM Windows provided an update on the façade and skylight installation progress. The Skylight Center is one of the most complex and impressive façade elements of the project.

With a total area of over 11,000 square meters, it is considered one of the largest skylights in Vietnam. The skylight system, manufactured at the BM Windows factory, consists of 5,402 triangular panels with 756 unique shapes, forming a unique architectural design resembling giant lotus petals. BM Windows is also expediting the implementation of other façade items at the airport to ensure timely delivery to the investor.
