On June 5, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Security Committee, chaired a meeting on aviation security and safety in the first five months of 2025.

According to a report by the Ministry of Public Security, civil aviation security in Vietnam has been largely maintained in the first five months, with no serious incidents threatening the industry’s security and safety.

Since taking on the task of ensuring aviation security, the Ministry of Public Security has received and handled 49 aviation security violations at 22 airports nationwide.

Up to now, the public security forces of all localities with airports have directly participated in the management and coordination process, deploying forces to ensure aviation security.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested the Ministry of Public Security to finalize the report on the implementation of the tasks assigned to the members after the February 25 meeting, especially on inspecting and identifying “technical loopholes” in ensuring the security and safety of the information system. network, clarifying responsibilities, solutions, and roadmap for improvement.

The Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Public Security continue to exchange and unify the transfer of functions and tasks of aviation security assurance, clearly defining the focal point of the Committee; promptly submit to the competent authority the plan to renovate the organizational model and operating regulations of the Committee.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Public Security to review and propose solutions to ensure the synchronization of machinery, equipment, and personnel in the aviation security control system, and to strengthen the coordination and connection between security forces and other forces on duty at the airport.

The Ministry of National Defense coordinates with the Ministry of Public Security to research, build legal and technical solutions, and invest in equipment and technical means; at the same time, mobilize the socio-political system and the people to participate in detecting, preventing, and preventing from the early stages of security risks. and aviation safety right from the grassroots level.
