Signing of the Contract for the Dau Giay-Tan Phu Expressway Project

On June 5th, the Road Administration and the Truong Hai-Son Hai Infrastructure Development Construction Joint Stock Company (a joint venture between Dai Quang Minh Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company and Son Hai Group Joint Stock Company) signed a contract to implement the Dau Giay-Tan Phu Expressway Project (phase 1) under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) format, specifically a BOT contract.

The Dau Giay-Tan Phu Expressway Project is the first project for which the Ministry of Construction has organized a bid to select investors according to the Law on PPP. In addition, it is also the first project for which the Ministry of Construction has assigned and authorized the Road Administration as the direct contracting authority with the Investors and the Project Enterprise.

To ensure the project’s success, the Road Administration requested that the Investors focus on mobilizing all resources to organize the construction of the work according to the signed contract, ensuring quality and striving to advance the progress.

Agencies under the Road Administration are assigned to coordinate closely with Investors and localities in the process of implementing the contract, especially in site clearance and land handover for construction.

The Dau Giay-Tan Phu Expressway is over 60 km long, starting at Dau Giay town (Thong Nhat district, Dong Nai province), connecting with the Ho Chi Minh City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway. The endpoint is located in Phu Trung commune (Tan Phu district, Dong Nai province), directly connecting to the Tan Phu-Bao Loc Expressway.

The project is an important link in the Dau Giay-Lien Khuong Expressway, totaling 220 km in length, running through Dong Nai and Lam Dong provinces. The Lien Khuong-Prenn section has been operational, while the Tan Phu-Bao Loc and Bao Loc-Lien Khuong sections are in the investment procedure.

The completion of the Dau Giay-Tan Phu Expressway will not only enhance the connectivity between the Southeast region and the Central Highlands but also promote the economic, social, and tourism development of Dong Nai and its neighboring provinces.

The project is expected to be inaugurated for construction within this year and completed in about 24 months.

The Investors will recoup their investment within approximately 16 years, 11 months, and 21 days. As planned, the construction of the Dau Giay-Tan Phu Expressway will commence on August 19th.
