Dr. Philipp Rösler, born in Vietnam in 1973, is a German-Vietnamese politician who has held several prominent positions in the German government. He served as the Minister of Health, Minister of Economics and Technology, and Vice Chancellor from 2011 to 2013, becoming the first Asian-born person to hold the latter role in Germany’s history.

Beyond his political career, Dr. Rösler is actively involved in the economic and business sectors. He previously served as the CEO of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Switzerland.

Dr. Rösler has a particular passion for aviation and is a licensed private pilot. He currently advises a leading aircraft maintenance company in Switzerland.

With the addition of Dr. Philipp Rösler, Vietjet’s board of directors now comprises six members. Dr. Rösler is expected to make significant contributions to the airline’s long-term development strategy, especially during its global network expansion phase. He will help foster growth between Vietnam and other economies, building upon the traditional values of each nation and people.
