As of June 5th, the sinkhole spanned approximately 6 square meters, creating a deep pit directly on the pedestrian pathway along D2 road in Tang Nhon Phu B ward, Thu Duc city, in Ho Chi Minh City’s High-Tech Park.

At the site, the sidewalk tiles were cracked and broken, with large sections collapsed, revealing a pool of stagnant water underneath. The area has been temporarily fenced off with warning tape, but this measure does not ensure absolute safety, especially at night or during rainy conditions.

According to Mr. Bui Hoai Linh, a security guard at a company adjacent to the sinkhole site, the subsidence occurred over a month ago. Authorities have inspected and surveyed the area and set up warning tape, but the issue remains unresolved.
