In the afternoon of June 6th, the People’s Committee of Phong Phu Commune, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, promptly reported on the discovery of a dump of nutritional supplements on a vacant lot on Nguyen Van Linh Street.

The local authorities received a report from a resident about the discovery of various dumped medicines and nutritional supplements. In response, the People’s Committee of Phong Phu Commune directed the communal police to seal off and inspect the site.

Initially, the functional forces recorded five dumping sites containing medicines and nutritional supplements for adults and children. The products included Ginlobil, Vitamin A-D, Nattobet, and Homramin Ginseng, among others. In addition to these five sites, there was also a completely burned site covering an area of approximately 20 square meters.

The authorities are currently in the process of counting and inventorying the confiscated medicines and nutritional supplements. The People’s Committee of Phong Phu Commune has reported the incident to the Binh Chanh District People’s Committee and the Economic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City’s Public Security.

Many nutritional supplements with expiration dates ranging from 2027 to 2028 were discarded, suspected to be counterfeit.

Prior to this incident, as reported by VTC News, various nutritional supplements with expiration dates ranging from 2027 to 2028 were found dumped on vacant land near the intersection of Nguyen Van Linh and Trinh Quang Nghi streets in Phong Phu Commune, Binh Chanh District.

According to local residents, these nutritional supplements were brought and dumped here by many three-wheel vehicles during the late night hours. This had been occurring for several days. The three-wheel vehicles would quickly unload their cargo and flee the scene, making it difficult for residents to catch them in the act.

Nutritional supplements were dumped in piles along the vacant land on Nguyen Van Linh Street.

Notably, Homramin Ginseng, with a production date of January 15, 2025, and an expiration date of January 15, 2028, was among the discarded items. Other discarded supplements included Pharvita Plus with a production date of June 10, 2024, and an expiration date of June 10, 2027, as well as Ginlobin Citicolin Omega 3 with the same production and expiration dates. Supplements for children were also found among the discarded items.

Many residents expressed concern over the dumping of products like Ginlobin Citicolin Omega 3, which are still within their expiration dates and commonly used by families.
