In a recent post on his personal page, Mr. Mai Quoc Binh, Founder and CEO of The Gioi Giay Company, announced that his company had sold 10,256 products in a day for the first time.
“While this number may seem ordinary or even small to some, it is a significant milestone for us. For the first time in over 16 years, the The Gioi Giay team has achieved this. Although the sales volume is not huge, handling over 10,000 products in a single day is a massive effort for us,” he wrote.
According to Mr. Binh, to achieve this result, The Gioi Giay set clear and specific targets instead of vague goals like “the more, the better.” The team also planned and executed with a “no retreat, only progress” mindset.
Additionally, the company ensured they had adequate resources in terms of warehousing, personnel, and capital to proactively implement their plans. “Seize the moment and don’t procrastinate. Optimize as you go. Remember, procrastination is the enemy of success,” he added.

Mr. Binh attributed the campaign’s success to finding the right operational partner. He shared that they had previously hired agencies with unsatisfactory results. This time, he collaborated with a friend in the e-commerce industry, generating over 10 billion VND in monthly revenue, and the outcome was significantly different.
“This is a strategy of standing on the shoulders of giants. Don’t expect drastic results if you don’t know what you’re doing and just rush into it. If you want to succeed, either play with the successful or learn from them,” he shared on his page.
Timing, according to the Chairman of The Gioi Giay, is also crucial. Previously, the company’s daily sales peaked at 1,000-2,000 products. However, with the recent disappearance of untaxed shops, a window of opportunity opened for The Gioi Giay to surge ahead.
“As we are a company with foreign investment, 100% of our orders are invoiced. In the past, we struggled to compete with untaxed businesses, but now the playing field is level, and we are not intimidated,” Mr. Binh wrote.
The Chairman of The Gioi Giay intends to continue driving sales through e-commerce channels to achieve their goal of 20 billion VND in monthly revenue.
Mr. Mai Quoc Binh started The Gioi Giay with an initial capital of 30 million VND. Today, the company boasts 50 billion VND in owner’s equity and a total asset value of 140 billion VND. Mr. Binh owns 70% of the enterprise, his wife holds 20%, and the remaining 10% belongs to a Japanese investor.
The Gioi Giay currently serves over 18,000 clients, including organizations, businesses, and institutions, and their products reach over 20 million users daily.
