On June 6th, residents of Ho Chi Minh City’s Binh Chanh district made a startling discovery of a large quantity of medicines and health supplements discarded in an area along Nguyen Van Linh street, Ap 2, Phong Phu commune.

A local resident recounted that earlier that morning, individuals were seen leaving behind these items at the aforementioned location.

The authorities from the Phong Phu Commune Police are currently investigating the scene and have sealed off the area.

A Large Quantity of Medicines and Health Supplements Found Discarded in Binh Chanh

On June 6th, a social media account shared a video and images depicting hundreds of foreign-labeled bottles and boxes of health supplements discarded in an empty lot along Nguyen Van Linh street in Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City.

“I am currently at an empty lot on Nguyen Van Linh street. Tons of medicines and health supplements with foreign labels are being dumped here by three-wheeled motorcycles every night,” the social media user wrote.

The images show that the products are still in their original packaging with intact labels, printed in foreign languages, and mostly consisting of health supplements.

“This is absolutely horrifying and inhumane. Anyone who has used these products should immediately get a health check-up,” the social media user warned.

Following the post, over 11,000 shares and countless comments expressed outrage and concern. Many pointed out the resemblance of these products to vitamins and supplements for children sold in pharmacies. Several individuals feared that they or their loved ones might have consumed these very products that were discarded.

According to our sources, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has received this information and will coordinate with relevant authorities to investigate the matter.
