On June 6, Mr. L.Q.N (aged 40), from My Xuyen district in Soc Trang province, took to his personal Facebook account to share images of slaughtered and butchered pigs, alleging that they were sick and rotten, being processed at a CP Vietnam abattoir in My Xuyen district.

Notably, many of the pork cuts displayed abnormal signs on their skin.
According to the timestamp on the images, they were taken at 2:50 am on March 24, 2022, at an abattoir in Chau Thanh A district, Hau Giang province. Mr. N. captioned the Facebook post: “The truth about CP P19.”
During a conversation with NLD reporters on the same day, Mr. N. confirmed that the photos were taken at an abattoir that processes meat for CP Vietnam. The sender of the images is known as T.D.
“I asked T.D. if the pigs looked good today, and he sent me these photos. Seeing the condition of the meat, I asked him how we could possibly sell it. Despite this, T.D. still sent the meat to me to sell. I had to incur a significant loss on that batch,” Mr. N. recalled.
According to Mr. N., the abattoir would deliver around 40 kg of pre-butchered pork to his shop each time. Upon receipt, the shop would further cut the meat into smaller portions. “If the pig had any skin diseases, we would remove the skin, and the problem would be solved,” Mr. N. asserted. He vowed to provide more such images to the police.

He then worked for a sugar company before transitioning into the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining CP Vietnam, he also had a stint at a university.
Indictment: Couple Charged with Selling Tons of Counterfeit Coffee Powder
“A devious couple devised a scheme to produce 100 kg of counterfeit coffee powder. Their recipe included a mere 3 to 9 kg of actual coffee beans, with the remainder consisting of soybeans and various additives. They roasted and ground this peculiar blend, hoping to turn a profit from their deceptive endeavor.”
National Audit of Abattoirs
Amidst the recent controversies surrounding allegations against C.P. Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company for selling sick pigs into the market, Mr. Phung Duc Tien, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment, issued a dispatch to provinces and cities. The dispatch calls for intensified surprise inspections of animal slaughterhouses, immediate cessation of operations of violating establishments, and strict handling of cases involving the slaughter and consumption of sick or dead pigs.
