On June 9th, the Executive Management Board of the Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet Highway Project (Project Management Unit 7, Ministry of Construction) announced that they had received a document from the Vietnam Road Administration regarding the rectification of existing issues, inadequacies, and damages on the Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet Highway.
Despite being in operation for only about two years and still under warranty, the 100.8-kilometer-long Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet Highway (in Binh Thuan Province) has recently exhibited multiple instances of concrete pavement peeling off between Km 226+000 and Km 235+000.

These defects, measuring 10-20 centimeters in width, pose a safety hazard to traffic.
The Vietnam Road Administration has urged Project Management Unit 7 and relevant units to promptly address these issues by June 20, 2025, while also emphasizing their responsibility in preventing accidents due to delayed repairs and technical shortcomings.
In response to the Vietnam Road Administration’s document, VNCN E&C Construction and Technical Investment Joint Stock Company (the contractor for the section from Km185+400 to Km235+000 of the Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet Highway) provided a feedback report.

Specifically, several concrete pavement peeling issues have emerged between Km226+000 and Km235+000 (in Ham Thuan Nam district, Binh Thuan province), impacting vehicles and the overall quality of the project.
To address these issues, the contractor will carry out repairs from June 8 to June 20, 2025.
Previously, in December 2024, the NLD reported that this highway had undergone repairs in multiple locations even before the commencement of toll collection.
