Viglacera’s Chairman Steps Down to Pursue Other Plans

Prior to taking on the top role at the Board of Directors for the 2024-2029 term, Mr. Tran Manh Huu served as the Head of the Supervisory Board of Viglacera since April 2021. Born in 1978, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and previously worked at the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) during 2008-2021. Mr. Huu currently does not hold any shares in Viglacera.

Along with this change in senior leadership, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham was elected as the new Head of the Supervisory Board, replacing Mr. Huu. Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Viet Trung, formerly of the Internal Audit Department, was appointed as a member of the vacant Supervisory Board position.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan had submitted his resignation, which was approved by the company’s shareholders on June 10th. In his resignation letter, Mr. Tuan cited his reason for stepping down as a desire to focus on other planned work commitments. This move was part of a pre-planned succession strategy for key personnel. Mr. Tuan continues to serve as the CEO of the GELEX Group (HOSE: GEX).
