At the meeting, Perenco Group Executive Director Armel Simondin congratulated Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the successful working trip to France, which has made important contributions to fostering the substantive and in-depth development of the Vietnam-France Strategic Partnership.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed that the Vietnamese government encourages partners, including Perenco Group, to sustainably exploit resources in Vietnam.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son acknowledged the efforts and contributions of Perenco Group and its partners in oil and gas exploration, exploitation, and cooperation in Vietnam. He affirmed that the Vietnamese government encourages partners, including Perenco Group, to continue sustainably exploiting resources in Vietnam, strictly complying with Vietnamese laws and international commitments, thereby promoting the sustainable development of the oil and gas industry while ensuring a harmonious balance between the interests of the State and contractors.
On this occasion, the two sides also discussed Perenco’s proposals to expand investment and promote cooperation in the energy and oil and gas sectors. Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, evaluating Perenco as an experienced oil and gas group, requested the group to continue cooperating closely with Vietnamese enterprises to implement the committed works to the Vietnamese government, based on compliance with Vietnamese and international laws, without affecting the progress of investment projects in Vietnam.
