On June 11th, the Economic Police Department of Binh Duong Provincial Police is investigating a case of suspected use of forged documents to commit fraud at Le Dinh Thao Notary Office, Binh An Ward, Di An City.

Previously, the police received a criminal accusation related to a group of individuals using fake land certificates to enter into power of attorney and land transfer contracts with the intention of appropriating others’ property.

Authorities enter the notary office to arrest the suspect

On June 10th, the Economic Police, in coordination with Binh An Ward Police, Di An City, discovered that the suspects used two fake land certificates at Le Dinh Thao Notary Office. The suspects intended to sign a transfer contract for two plots of land in Cay Truong 2, Bau Bang District, and defraud 8 billion VND from a local individual.

During the money counting process for the land transfer transaction, the police intervened and arrested Pham Ngoc Thach (born 1990, from Ho Chi Minh City), who directly signed the land transfer contract. The police seized documents, evidence, and the money involved in the case. The Economic Police are working with other units to further investigate the incident.

As shared on social media, a video clip showed a group of people dressed in police and security uniforms and plainclothes carrying guns entering a notary office in Binh Duong and apprehending individuals inside. According to the circulated clip, the police had been secretly monitoring the suspected fraudster and arrested them when they brought the fake land certificate to the notary office for the transaction.
