The Soc Trang provincial planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision towards 2050, has been adjusted.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested that the Chairman of the Soc Trang People’s Committee take full responsibility before the law and the Prime Minister for: (i) the proposal to approve the adjustment of the provincial planning in a shortened procedure as stated in Official Dispatch No. 186/TTr-UBND dated June 6, 2025; (ii) ensuring that the adjustment does not alter the orientation and general objectives of the approved provincial planning for the 2021-2030 period with a vision towards 2050; (iii) strictly managing mineral resources in accordance with legal regulations, preventing corruption and waste, and reporting the implementation results to the Prime Minister as prescribed.
Previously, on August 25, 2023, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 995/QD-TTg approving the Soc Trang provincial planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision towards 2050.

On June 3 and June 10, 2025, the Investigative Police Agency (IPA) of the Ministry of Public Security made a supplementary decision to initiate a criminal case for the crime of “Taking Bribes”. They also decided to prosecute and issue an inspection warrant, applying preventive measures against Mr. Nguyen Ba Hoan, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs (MOLISA), and three other defendants on charges of “Taking Bribes” related to the case at Hoang Long Company and several other units.
