On June 11th, Mr. Le Kim Nghia, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hoa Hiep Nam Ward (Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City), stated that initial investigations revealed the discarded pharmaceuticals on Xuan Thieu Street belonged to Central Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company No. 3, headquartered in Hai Chau District.
Previously, on the afternoon of June 10th, authorities inspected the site after discovering a large quantity of discarded medicine.
At the location, hundreds of brown glass bottles without labels were found, along with intact blister packs covered loosely by a black tarp. The packs were labeled with the name “Cetecocenzitax 25mg” and had an expiration date of August 2026.
According to medical staff, this medication is used to support the treatment of motion sickness, dizziness, ringing in the ears, nausea, and vestibular disorders.

Mr. Nghia said that the authorities determined that the aforementioned medicines were slated for destruction due to quality issues.
During the destruction process, Central Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company No. 3 transferred a portion of the medicines to a scrap buyer. However, as the buyer was unable to sell them, they were dumped on Xuan Thieu Street.
On June 10th, the authorities instructed the company to retrieve all the medicines and dispose of them properly according to regulations.
The area where the medicines were found is on a stretch of road with no residents, mostly surrounded by wasteland, and is a frequent site for illegal dumping of garbage and waste.
