The Standing Committee of the Haiphong Party Committee recently met to discuss and provide opinions on several matters, including significant investment plans.

During the conference, the representative from the City Party Committee provided a concise report on the plans to invest in multiple projects within the new Bac Song Cam urban area in Duong Quan Ward, Thuy Nguyen District.

A glimpse of Haiphong city.

First is the investment project for constructing a convention center on Lot I.11/DVCC-01, spanning over 6,500 square meters, with a capacity to accommodate 500 to 1,200 guests. The estimated investment for this project exceeds VND 1,000 billion, excluding compensation and site clearance costs.

The mixed-use development project on Lot I.20/CTHH-01 comprises three high-rise mixed-use buildings occupying more than 22,000 square meters, with a total investment of over VND 8,300 billion.

Additionally, the high-rise mixed-use and commercial services project on Lot 1.14/CTHH-01 is planned to be constructed on a land area of nearly 32,500 square meters, with a total investment of nearly VND 4,900 billion.

It is worth noting that the 75-story mixed-use development on Lot 1.14/CTHH-01, if realized, will become the tallest building in Haiphong, surpassing the Diamond Crown Haiphong, which stands at 186 meters (45 stories).

Furthermore, this 75-story structure could potentially rank among Vietnam’s tallest buildings, alongside landmarks such as Landmark 81 in Ho Chi Minh City and Keangnam Landmark 72 in Hanoi.

Haiphong authorities emphasize the importance of ensuring compliance with the Master Plan for the whole country, the Red River Delta region, and the city of Haiphong, as well as specialized plans related to land, construction, and urban architecture.

The projects are also expected to meet relevant standards and regulations while maintaining national defense and security. The Standing Committee agreed to invest in these projects, contributing to the development of a modern and civilized Bac Song Cam urban area.
