Mount Chua Chan: Unveiling the Master Plan for Dong Nai’s Majestic Peak

On June 10th, the 28th session of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Council unanimously adopted a resolution on the task of constructing a 1/2,000 scale subdivision plan for the functional area at the top of Mount Chua Chan in Xuan Loc District.

Spanning an area of 250 hectares, the summit of Mount Chua Chan sits at an elevation of 837 meters and is nestled across four communes: Xuan Tho, Suoi Cai, Xuan Truong, Xuan Hiep, and Gia Ray town. With four streams flowing from its peak, including Gia Ui, Gia Mien, Gia Liao, and Gia Lao, the mountain boasts a rich flora and is steeped in historical legends and cultural relics.

The Dong Nai People’s Committee underscored the significance of this resolution in providing a legal framework for the development of the mountain area. The plan aims to bolster the province’s economic growth, targeting a double-digit increase, while transforming the region into a distinctive cultural, spiritual, recreational, and eco-tourism hub.

Envisioned as a comprehensive tourist destination, the project will integrate commercial, hospitality, and premium resort functions. It will cater to a diverse range of tourists, including those interested in scientific research, nature, and environmental ecology. Additionally, the plan emphasizes the preservation and restoration of historical and cultural relics, ensuring the area’s rich heritage is safeguarded.

With a projected daily visitor count of 1,000 people, surging to 10,000 during peak seasons, the development is expected to boost the local economy and elevate the province’s tourism landscape.
