Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, VinFast, has announced the delivery of a total of 11,496 electric vehicles in May 2025 in the domestic market, bringing the total number of vehicles sold in the country since the beginning of the year to an impressive 56,187.

Among its range of vehicles, the VF 5, an SUV in the A-segment, continues to be VinFast’s best-selling model, with an impressive 4,232 units sold in May alone, reflecting a 13.4% increase compared to the previous month. According to VinFast, the consistent high sales of the VF 5 affirm the growing trend towards higher-riding vehicles in the A-segment in Vietnam.

Following closely behind is the VinFast VF 3, with 3,950 units sold. The VF 6 and VF 7 also contributed significantly to VinFast’s May sales, with 1,393 and 773 units sold, respectively. Meanwhile, the larger SUV models, VF 8 and VF 9, also witnessed notable growth compared to April.

Additionally, two models designed specifically for business services, the Herio Green and Nerio Green, continued to play a crucial role in VinFast’s overall sales performance, contributing to the impressive total of 11,496 vehicles delivered in the Vietnamese market during May 2025.

Year-to-date, the VF 3 has been VinFast’s top-selling model in Vietnam, with 19,416 units delivered to customers. This is closely followed by the VF 5 with 18,752 units and the VF 6 with 7,307 units. These remarkable results solidify VinFast’s leading position in the domestic market, with a total of 56,187 electric vehicles sold in Vietnam since the beginning of the year.

Ms. Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global VinFast Sales, shared that the meaningful and attractive programs implemented by VinFast in May received an overwhelming response from customers, as evident in their impressive sales performance. Notably, the early deposit program for the EC Van model, which was launched in the last few days of May, also garnered significant attention and exceeded expectations.
