On June 13th, the exchange rate of the Vietnamese Dong (VND) against the US Dollar and the Chinese Yuan (CNY) witnessed a slight increase at commercial banks.

Specifically, the central exchange rate on June 13th set by the State Bank of Vietnam decreased by 15 VND compared to the previous day, settling at 24,975 VND per USD.

With a permitted fluctuation of +/- 5%, the ceiling and floor rates for the day were 26,223 VND/USD and 23,726 VND/USD, respectively.

The reference exchange rate at the State Bank’s trading session was 23,791-26,189 VND/USD (buying-selling).

As of 9 am on June 13th, Vietcombank listed the buying and selling rates for USD at 25,863 and 26,223 VND/USD, respectively, marking a rise of 13 VND in both rates compared to the previous day.

Meanwhile, Techcombank continued to raise their buying and selling rates by 10 VND each, resulting in rates of 25,855-26,215 VND/USD.

Regarding the Chinese Yuan, Vietcombank’s rates on June 13th experienced an increase of 12 VND on the buying side and 13 VND on the selling side, reaching 3,574-3,688 VND/CNY.

Similarly, BIDV adjusted their buying and selling rates for the Yuan by 12 VND and 13 VND, respectively, resulting in rates of 3,581-3,679 VND/CNY.
