Suzuki Vietnam has dropped an exciting hint on their Facebook page, sharing a post that says “New Swift is coming (06/26/2025)” and teasing the arrival of the new-generation Swift on June 26. The event, dubbed “The Swift Show,” will showcase this highly anticipated model.

Prior to this, in March 2025, several dealerships had started taking reservations for the new Swift. Some even revealed that the new model had already been shipped to Vietnam in preparation for its launch.
According to dealership sources, the new Swift is expected to be priced at 569 million VND, switching from Thai imports to Japanese ones. This change is due to Suzuki’s decision to close its Thai plant last year, which may impact the pricing of this B-segment hatchback.
Towards the end of May, leaked images of the new Suzuki Swift in Vietnam surfaced online. These images revealed several updates to the model, with one of the most notable being the “Hybrid” badge. If it follows the Japanese specification, the Swift sold in Vietnam will likely be powered by a 1.2L 3-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor, producing approximately 82 horsepower and 108 Nm of torque, mated to a CVT transmission.

Additionally, the 2025 Swift sports a redesigned exterior, most notably at the front, with lower-positioned headlights and a larger grille. The LED taillights have also been completely revamped. The overall silhouette and dimensions remain similar to the previous generation.

Inside, if it follows the Japanese specification, the Swift for the Vietnamese market will feature a 9.7-inch floating display and more refined air-conditioning control buttons.

One of its direct competitors in the market is the Mazda2 hatchback, which is also imported from Thailand and offers two variants priced at 537-544 million VND, undercutting the expected price of the new Swift. The Mazda2’s advantage over the Swift currently lies in its ADAS safety package.
